Trip Summary
This unique tour of Nepal, covering Kathmandu, Pokhara, a trek
in the Annapurna Region and the Royal Chitwan National Park has
been put together.
If you have always had the desire to visit Nepal but thought the
treks were too long and hard then this is the trip for you. The
aim is to help you break out of the daily routine and do
something exciting, new, interesting or challenging.
After exploring Kathmandu, you will drive
to Pokhara, which is situated on the beautiful Fewa Lake and
surrounded by the magnificent Annapurna Ranges with the awesome
Fishtail Mountain as its backdrop. Pokhara is part of a once
vibrant trade route extending between India and Tibet . It is
also the starting point of all treks in the Annapurna ranges.
Your trek boasts fantastic mountain views of most of the
Annapurna range. It is a spectacular short trek and traverses a
variety of terrains from low land villages and rice terraces up
to Nepal's largest Ghurkha village at 3,000meters.
After trekking for 6 days you head back to Pokhara for before
departing by tourist bus for your 3 day wildlife safari in the
Royal Chitwan National Park. This is certainly a reward staying
in the heart of the Chitwan Jungle where the spirit of the great
explorer-adventurers lives on. From atop an elephant, you can
search for the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger and the endangered
great one-horned rhino, which roams the jungle together with
leopards, sloth bears, bison and many more wildlife species.
Hidden deep in the swamps are rare crocodiles and freshwater
dolphins, which can be spotted when we journey down the River
Rapti by traditional dugout canoe. Meanwhile back at the "Gol
Ghar" Round House you can relate your day's adventures in front
of the campfire and be entertained by spectacular dancing from
the people of the local Taru villages.
At the end of your stay at Chitwan you will return to Kathmandu
where you will be treated with a scenic Everest flight and free
time to do that last minute shopping before and your flight
home.
